Continual innovation of course content and structure for increased rigor and relevance. Consistent statistically significant positive course evaluations.
  • 1997 - 2000, Network Analyst, Network Engineer, Dolby Laboratories
    • Designed and deployed an international network services infrastructure and a suite of networked application systems with distributed security, including email, intranet, and developer support.
  • 1994 - 1997, User Support Specialist, Help Desk Manager, Network Analyst, Grubb and Ellis Company
    • Managed and extended nationwide email infrastructure. Managed corporate network and nationwide office support operations. Maintained in-house application development environment.

Service and Advisory Activities

  • 2005 - 2006, Treasurer, University of Hawaii Board of Publications
    • Oversight of $750,000 budget and direct involvement in operational reorganization, including technology upgrades, workflow optimization, policy change, and process outsourcing. Set course for largely successful, though bumpy turn-around, with savings of approximately $200,000 per year in student fees, stemming a long-term slide into insolvency.
  • 2003 - 2004, President, University of Hawaii Graduate Student Organization
    • Increased membership by 20% (1,000 additional members), increased graduate student research funding by 60%, doubled participation in the graduate assembly and executive council, staffed nearly 50 campus committees, revamped policy.
