Virtual Journalism and Journalism of the Virtual
As Guilio blogs, the Reuters building is a real attraction, people keep flying over there. They have a free HUD and floor and wall displays, so they are very prepared to cover SL, it seems. In addition, their space is gorgeous, and is worth a peek.

Hamlet has blogged his competition, especially the Reuters HUD (why not a New World Notes HUD, or a blog aggregator HUD?)…
For other journalism-related items in Second Life:
- Metaverse Messenger, weekly newspaper (dozens of pages in pdf), over 9.000 subscribers
- SLBusiness, monthly business magazine (over 100 pages in pdf, also available inworld)
- Second Life Herald, blog-style newspaper
- [New World Notes}(http://nwn.blogs.com/), Second Life's embedded reporter Hamlet, blog-style
In a non-Second Life multi-user virtual environment, a University of Minnesota Journalism class uses a redesigned version of the Neverwinter Nights D&D game to teach journalism. I can imagine someone setting up a virtual newspaper SIM, that would provide amazing training for budding reporters and bloggers.
