Tech
- Added a web scrobbler (downloaded
.crx file, added to Ungoogled Chromium and Vivaldi).- Need to add command-line (CLI, TUI) scrobbling. Maybe this set of tools that include SomaFM and YouTube/Invidious, and scrobbling?
Tech Tasks
- Upgraded the SDCard in my phone (Samsung A24) to 512gb, as my replicated storage was nearly depleted using a 256gb card. Lots of room now. I've got the same sized SDCard in the Asus chromebook (which is running Debian). I'm only doing one-way replication with SyncThing, nothing fancy, but it actually is quite fast.
- Upgraded the WIFI at home to WIFI 6/Mesh, though I'm not using that functionality. Nevertheless, nearly a 2x speed using 5ghz for the local network. I was trying to get a new router/wifi from our local fiber provider, but they tried to give me a new device which was manifestly slower -- both WIFI and wired Gigabit Ethernet (actually only half-speed!). Sigh. Because the problem we've been having is mostly WIFI, I spent the money to add a Xiaomi AX1500 WIFI6/MESH (668 THB = 20.59 USD). The interface is all Chinese (booklet, software) but that is not hard to deal with using Google Translate. The interface isn't very detailed, but it works, and can act as a WIFI extended a router (which is what it is doing). Our house is not big enough to need more than a single WIFI in the middle.
Work
- Some orders this week and the printer is slowly getting things done.
Health
- Knee is still a problem, but small improvements daily. It is still quite painful to ride the motorbike, so I'm mostly using the car these days.
Reading
- Finished I'm in love with the villainess v.2. It finishes a first arc, so I'll end it there and not continue.
- Read Invention and Innovation by Vaclav Smil, an author I've read before. A great antidote to the Musks and Zuckerbergs of this world (Zuckerberg mentioned by name, Musk by the lies he tells).
- Started Classroom of the Elite
Music
- Bought some Bandcamp stuff.
- Started scrobbling to Listenbrainz.
