This is the continuation of weekly notes. Not sure how long this project will last, but want to give it a try, as per Thej.
Work
Little progress on the work front. Will have to projectize some tasks and then get it done. Some larger orders accommodated, and some on the Shopee platform, which is encouraging.
Health
Decent health, though my eldest says he feels a little sick. We just spent 2 days / 1 night at Chiang Dao, which was fun, but did including things like hiking up many steps and jumping in very cold water on each of the two days. Ate a lot, so that should help, and he slept well, though woke up an hour earlier than usual. We'll see.
Transportation
Drove ~ 190km which took 49% of the battery. That sounds about right as we were in highway-ish speeds a lot of the time. The BYD Dolphin (the Thailand 50KWH version) is rated for 435 kms, but more like 380 kms makes sense for longer distance travel. Should take about 12 hours to charge back up to 100% (which is fine for this type of LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery. I'm enjoying this vehicle, and traveling with my two growing sons means that the car is much more comfortable and safer than the motorbike (which we still take short distances of 10 minutes or less). The electronics, software and hardware, means this is an interesting toy (albeit expensive at that). Nevertheless, driving a car is overall a negative. It takes time (longer than a motorbike), traffic and parking are a pain, and it is expensive. Imagine all that time, effort, and resources spent on making bicycling and motorbiking safer and supplementing with public transportation.
